Nickie is a mother of two children from Tirokaye village, Kainantv district, Goroka Eastern Highland Province. Before the death of her late husband in 2017 Nickie sold vegetables under the name ‘Vegetable supply Massah’ to support herself and her family. Now, she makes bilum dresses and tablecloths out of store wool to sell to the locals as a source of income. Nickie has been creating her art pieces since 1998 after she learnt her skills from her aunt and grandma. By building a small business from her art Nickie wishes to help other ladies in the Morobe settlement and her home.
